Q. What will S&J Maid Service charge to clean my home?

A. The cost of cleaning your home depends on several factors such as location, size of the home, condition of the home and frequency of your cleaning schedule. Generally the first cleaning will be performed at an hourly rate, minimum charges apply.

Q. Do I have to be at home while cleaning?

 A. No, you don’t have to be home. We understand you have a life to live, so we don't even need you to be there to let us in. If you will not be present while cleaning, please provide the information required to obtain access. We’ll make arrangements for entry prior to the visit. We are fully insured and bonded for your peace of mind.

Q: Do I have to do anything before the cleaning?

 A: In order to give you the greatest value, we ask you to take a few minutes the night before to pick up extraneous clothing, toys and other household items.

Q: When do I pay?

A: Payments are due on the day of the cleaning and should be given to the cleaning professional, unless other arrangements are made beforehand. Cash and check are accepted. A $30.00 fee will be assessed for any checks returned by your bank. 

Q. How do I pay if I am not home?

A. If you’re taking first time or hourly cleaning, we’ll estimate the number of labor hours required to clean your home. Based on the estimate, you can leave us the payment at a designated area of your home. Also regular flat-rate customers may mail the payment; please arrange this prior to your cleaning.

Q. Is gratuity included in my cleaning rate?

A. No, gratuity is not included. If you wish to leave a tip for the person performing the cleaning, please do so as a separate cash tip or a separate check marked “tip” in the memo field.

Q: I need to reschedule my appointment, what should I do?

 A:  Simply call, text or email us to let us know. We request a minimum of 24 hours cancellation/rescheduling notice. Cancellations/rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $40 cancellation fee. The same charge will apply if we arrive at the appointment and for any reason we are not able to clean your home.

Q: How many maids are on a S&J Maid Service crew?

A: In most case S&J Maid Services will send only one or two maids. If the job is very large and would require additional help we may send more.

Q. Will the same person be performing the cleaning each time?

A. Yes! We do our best to keep the same person for each of your regularly scheduled cleanings. Occasionally, due to illness an alternate team or maid will have to be substituted.

Q: Will the person who cleans my home speak English?

A: Yes, most of our cleaning professionals speak English. Should you have any trouble communicating with our staff, please call us at 773.988.2749 and we will be happy to translate.

Q. I have a dog. Is that a problem for you?

A. We are pet friendly! If your pet is friendly we will be happy to clean around him. We do ask that dangerous or rowdy pets be caged or placed in a confined area.

Q. Do I need to have my own cleaning supplies and tools?

A. No, you don’t have to worry about that. We can provide all necessary supplies and tools to clean your house if that is your preference.

Q. I’m very particular about the products and supplies used for the cleaning of my home. Can I provide them?

A. Of course! We do provide a discount for the use of your supplies and products.

Q: Can I have a cleaning on a daily basis?

A: Yes! We are available for daily household help or office cleaning. Please contact us to discuss your preferred schedule.

Q: I don’t have a parking space for you to park on, what should I do?

A: We can find street parking (if available). We do require any parking fees incurred during your cleaning to be reimbursed to the person performing the cleaning. Any parking accommodations would be greatly appreciated. If we can’t find parking within a half hour of arrival, we may need to charge extra for the time spent searching for a spot. Should a permit be required to park on your street, please provide one for us.

Q. Do you clean windows?

A. Regular cleanings include a spot cleaning of windows. Full window washing is also available per your request. We love special assignments.

Q. Can you take my dog out for a walk during the cleaning?

A. Yes! Please let us know what type of dog you have and how long of a walk is needed in advance.

Q. Can my plants be watered during the cleaning appointment?

A. We are happy to water your plants. We are also available to clean the leaves off individually from dust to provide wonderful shine!

Q. Do you provide house sitting services/pet sitting services while I am away?

A. Sure! Let us know what needs to be taken care of while you are gone; we are happy to help.

Q. I just moved and need help unpacking, can you help?

A. We are available for move in cleaning/organizing and unpacking. Generally hourly charges apply.

Q: Do you have a satisfaction policy?

A: Yes! Your complete satisfaction is our number one priority. If you are not satisfied with the quality of our service, simply call us within 24 hours and we will come back and re-clean that particular area that was not cleaned properly. However this policy applies only to our flat rate customers.

Q: How do you handle the security system?

A: Our maids trained to deal with any security system. We recommend you program it with a special code for our cleaning team.

Q: Do you offer power-washing services?

A: Yes! We are happy to power-wash your concrete garage floor, walkway or driveway. Other power-washing services may be available or visit us www.ziggyseliteinc.com
